More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

New "adventures": whether in travel, books, music, art or food. Life should be about expanding out and never looking back/ forward/ to the sides with an iota of regret, so what am I "passionate" about? I'm passionate about living a life filled with adventures, big and small, and creating memories: good, bad, at times weird, but ultimately fun.

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with friends, traveling, reading

The most influential person in my life has been

Self confidence.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm outgoing.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Methland by Nick Reding - A look at the collapse of small, "salt of the Earth", traditional American towns in the Midwest and the devastating effect that the changing socioeconomic environment has brought to them, illustrated through the epidemic spread of meth in the region. It was a very smart, powerful, thought provoking and completely depressing look at the lost towns that you fly over on the way from JFK-LAX-JFK and brush off as nonexistent. A good reminder that for the vast majority of people, dissapointment doesn't translate into not being able to get an 8:30 table at Blue Ribbon.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends & family. So... this response is unoriginal, but no less true.
  2. Waking up, saying "I want to (insert whatever)" and always making it happen, regardless of how far fetched.
  3. Sense of humour about myself and life, in general.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That sometimes I don't have it all figured out even though I seem like I do.
