More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Aside from the obvious friends and family my biggest passion is my love of dogs. I don't have one (yet) but I am eagerly awaiting the day that I will be able to have one. My other big passion is going to the gym and running, I think it's important to live a healthy life.

I typically spend my leisure time

Until recently leisure was more of an abstract concept, but my work life balance has improved greatly over the past year. I love to read, and now that I am done with school it?s that much more enjoyable because I am doing it for me rather than because I have to. I enjoy going for runs (both indoors and out, but it?s usually either too cold or too hot and humid to run outside here in Minnesota). During the summer I love camping and fishing though I have not been in far too long.

The most influential person in my life has been

Sense of humor ranks at or near the top, if you can't make me laugh and I can't make you laugh we probably won't work.

The first thing people notice about me

I have a pretty dry sense of humor and I crack jokes at a pretty good clip. I have been told that I don't have the typical accountant personality.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book that I read and enjoy is hard because I usually read a few books at a time. The last book I completed was Waiter Rant. It was stories from the front line of a restaurant, its a good reminder of what wait staff goes through. Another book that I really liked was Freakonomics, they did a pretty good job and helping the reader to look at things in a different light.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. First and foremost I am thankful for my friends; I don?t have an very large family so my friends pick up the slack.
  2. My education and my job, yes that?s really two, but without my education I wouldn?t have been able to get a job.
  3. A solid sense of humor, laughing is about the best thing I can do with my time.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am not half as serious about things as I appear to be, it's that dry sense of humor!
