More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Other than the love for my son (which is #1), I love 60' & 70's music. I have quite a collection of MP3's. Movies - I have a nice and extensive collection of my favorites. Travel - although I can't afford to do it much. I'm also a dog lover. I wish the whole world could be more like them - loyal and unfailing love without question.

I typically spend my leisure time

Watching Colts football, watching movies, meeting new people or making friends.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone with a great personality, good conversationist, great sense of humor, caring and thoughtful, easy-going and non-abusive in anyway. He knows how to respect others. Romantic in that he is spontaneously enough to just get me some litle something to let me know he missed me or thought of me during the day.

The first thing people notice about me

I am fun and have a buoyant personality and good sense of humor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I don't read a lot of books. But I do like to read trivia. I enjoy educational things that help you learn. Recently I read something about "Stay Calm and Keep Going" which was a morale booster created in Great Britain during WWII when the Nazis were raiding Europe and bombing the UK. I read somewhere that it originally came from Winston Churchill. It was rediscovered in an an old bookstore in 2000 and has resurfaced and been printed on many things to inspire people in the stressful world we live in today.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My relationship with my son is very good and growing closer as he gets older (and wiser). I have a great relationship with my daughter-in-law too. She is a real darling!
  2. I have a decent job that I am very, very good at. I am respected for my skills, talent, dependability, and capability on getting things done. It's not the best company I've ever worked for but I could do much worse. There are many people without jobs at all and in worse condition than me.
  3. I'm a survivor and I have learned how to pull myself up by my own 'boot straps'. I've survived the worst thing in my life - divorce after 25 yrs of marriage. It's taken me a while to recover. But I'm headed in the right direction. I feel more in control of my life now and I'm getting things worked out in my life toward a more positive outcome.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can be very loyal, dedicated, and committed to those I care about - like my family and friends.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Easy-Going, Genuine, Outgoing

A little more about me

I'm not in a hurry. I want to get to know someone well and developing a good friendship is most important to me. I want to see how they respond and how they treat me over time. Because I am THAT kind of person - if I ever find the 'last love of my life' I want to know I can completely trust them to be my best friend, love me more than anything else, and to be there for me no matter what. An example that comes to mind is the movie - The Notebook. The most beautiful love story ever! Love is not just physical attraction and passionate kisses. It's true and lasting commitment to the one you love.
