More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Having fun... is that too generic? I'm most passionate about having the time and opportunity to do activities that I enjoy and surrounding myself with the people I love.

I typically spend my leisure time

I spend most of my free time riding my Harley and doing lots of outdoor activities. I also enjoy cooking (especially on the grill) and spend a lot of time experimenting with new recipes. Other activities: exploring new places, scuba diving in the summer, skiing in the winter, playing softball down on the Mall, and just hanging out with friends.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'd like to be with someone who's just a little bit rough around the edges. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate girls that are refined and ladylike (and I love sundress season)... but I'd like to be with someone who's also not afraid to get her hands dirty, likes to play sports, and won't turn her nose up at a beer if its put in front of her.

The first thing people notice about me

My sense of humor... It may not always be situationally appropriate (I've been known to crack myself up during long silences at funerals) but I feel that without laughter, our lives are just boring.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Sparrow" By Mary Doria Russell. It's a novel about a group of Catholic missionaries sent by the Vatican to explore an alien planet. It was written by a nun, so its not one of those cheap sci-fi paperweights.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends
  2. Family
  3. Career

A little more about me

I love to travel, but I'm finding that I have a lot less time for it now that I'm going to grad school on top of working full-time. I try to compensate for that and like to explore new places and do day trips around the area.
