More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I think environmental problems are incredibly important, and thats what I've dedicated myself to work on. I think there are so many amazing places to go and people to meet in this world, so I love traveling and experiencing it for myself. I also have to admit that I love DC sports, despite the fact that they're mostly all so bad (go Terps!).

I typically spend my leisure time

I am really happy when I get to relax and read my book, or even do some writing myself. I can't wait for winter every year so I can get out on my snowboard. I also love exploring new restaurants, but I'm starting to explore with my own cooking quite a bit also.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone with a positive outlook on life, who gets along with others, and who is always down to have fun. I also think its really important to have time for our own interests, and I'm looking for someone who feels the same way.

The first thing people notice about me

I am always in the mood for a laugh.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Stranger in a Strange Land," by Robert Heinlein. Science fiction from the 1960s, a man who grew up on mars comes to earth for the first time and learns what it means to be human. Its pretty out there, and a little goofy, but its also really clever and thought provoking. Its ideas about religion, people, and relationships are still forward thinking fifty years later.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Being able to do fun things and spend quality time with close friends.
  2. Having an interesting and fulfilling job and coworkers that are likable.
  3. Living near family and spending time with them.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I really enjoy stories, and I genuinely love listening to others. I open up really easily around people who are open with me, so I won't be shy if you aren't!
