The one thing I am passionate about...
Please note, I've moved to Salem, OR if my profile isn't listing it correctly. I'm most passionate about my family. Their love is fundamental. As I will say, I don't know where I would be without them. Their successes are mine, and I have a very high level of gratitude for them. I'm also passionate about the environment and my health. Being mindful in such a way fulfills me to give and be bettered by those things. I have had some amazing experiences outdoors, and I feel it is my duty to do what I can to help keep the environment serene. I also want to stay as healthy as possible, so I can live my life to its fullest potential.
I typically spend my leisure time
In my leisure time I love to mountain bike or hike. Spring time is an exciting time for me because the trails start to open up, and I can start to fully enjoy activities that are very therapeutic for me. Also, I love to cook. Working on a healthy and delicious recipe is fun for me. A delicious dish made with healthy ingredients is a great success.
The most influential person in my life has been
There are a number of important qualities that I look for, but I would have to say that one of the most important qualities are shared interests. For me, eHarmony is one tool I can use to meet someone new, and I feel that an important aspect of the online approach is to share interests. This aspect helps create a great base of a relationship. Furthermore, there are a few things in my life that I am quite passionate about. I would need to share those with my partner. My partner need not do it at the same level as I; however, it is important for me that they genuinely desire to partake in my interests. I will gladly reciprocate!
The first thing people notice about me
One thing besides my appearance is the fact that I love to laugh. Joking around throughout the day with family, friends, and coworkers is important for me. Laughing with others allows for a great bonding experience especially if the people involved are not familiar with each other. As a caveat, I do know when to tone down the silliness and be serious.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Well accounting and finance books are tops on my book shelf, but they aren't tremendously exciting. Other than that, I'm working on an account of the Lewis and Clark expedition by Stephen Ambrose. I often imagine what it would be like to travel in a completely unknown and wild land. Finally, trail books for hiking and biking the U.S. along with cook books and books on beer, wine, and cheese.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My social support group. I am so thankful for my family and close friends. They guide me, and aid me through difficult times. Also, I can share my successes with them. Being genuinely loved by your family and friends is such an amazing thing. To love and be loved fully is one of life's greatest gifts.
- The experiences I have had in life whether good or bad. They are all important in some way through out my life, and these experiences build my character and teach me. Along the lines of life experiences. I'm so thankful for my able body and mind, and that I will have the chance to race this summer to raise money for charity. And with that, "Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power we never dreamed ourselves to own; sources of strength never taxed at all because we never pushed through the obstruction.? William James
- I am thankful for my levelheadedness, work ethic, intelligence, and my ability to press on after things have gone poorly. In the past 12 months, I've lost two dear grandparents, accomplished a great deal academically and professionally, took up ultramarathoning, and relocated to beautiful Boulder, CO to fully pursue my passions and meet like minded people. I'm thrilled to take on this challenge, and I will make the most out of this chapter.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Hmmm...I wish people would understand that at times, when first meeting others, I can be a bit shy. I suppose that is an important information with respect to the online dating approach. I warm up to people quickly, and I will most likely talk your ear off.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Hard Working, Passionate, Physically Fit
A little more about me
Random stuff! Well, I love NPR. Saturdays on NPR...so awesome! I love the arts but Im no expert. Copland's Saturday Night Waltz is incredible. I can make a mean loaf of bread (very healthy and could maybe use as a weapon...ha!). I'm a huge exercise and wellness nerd, but I'm far from competitive. It's so much more enjoyable just to see people out riding or hiking or running. Not interested how fast you are. Be appreciative of your body, mind, and senses. Showing gratitude is fundamental. I will never shy away from playing with LEGO's. My race bike's name is Shadowfax. Finally, I'm looking for the real deal here and not a fling.
