The one thing I am passionate about...
I would have to say my son. I love him more than life itself. I thought I knew what is what like to love your mother, your wife, your brother, etc. Until my son was born, I never knew I could exude or feel so much love for another human being. If I met someone that had everything I was looking for in a mate and more, but she didn't like or approve of my son, there would be no reason to pursue anything further.
I typically spend my leisure time
I try to go running about 4-5 times a week. Other than that, I like hanging out with friends whether it's a get together at a bar/lounge or a bbq at someone's house. If I had more time, I would like to get back into swimming and biking and maybe train for the Tinman Triathalon.
The most influential person in my life has been
Filthy rich, supermodel type....(oops - sorry, was thinking aloud). Seriously though, I'll admit that although physical attraction is an initial factor, it's not the most important. We all know that looks will fade over time. Chemistry and the ability to communicate effectively (I think) is a vital part of a relationship. But above all, I want someone that is genuine with a good heart. Someone that will do for others because she wants to without expecting anything in return. I?m not perfect and I don?t expect to find someone that is. I believe flaws in a person is what helps to build the unique characteristics in each of us.
The first thing people notice about me
Probably my wit and sense of humor. I love to laugh whether it's with me or at me. Humor in a relationship is really important to me. I believe it can really help to alleviate other issues or break up the monotony when things become too serious.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Parenting With Love & Logic - It shares a variety of ways to raise your children with respect. Part of the process is allowing them to make mistakes and fail. Allowing them to make choices of their own while paying the consequences of their decisions. I love the fact that I was able to relate and implement strategies and techniques immediately after reading the first few chapters.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My son is by far the most important thing in my life and I am most grateful for.
- Having such a loving and supportive family.
- Although I may not be the richest or most successful person, I am grateful for what I have because I know that no matter what, there are ALWAYS people less fortunate than me.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm not sure if there IS any ONE thing or anything at all. All of my family and close friends know the real me and that's good enough for me. I want to meet someone that will like me for who I am. Not for what I have or what they want me to be. In time, that person will get to know everything there is to know about me.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Generous, Sweet, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I have big feet? Actually being single and living alone, cooking is more of a chore than anything else for me. But ironically, I really do like to cook (I just hate washing dishes). It?s just a lot more gratifying when there?s someone there to cook for and share a nice meal with. I also consider myself a decent handyman and am currently in the process (a long, drawn out process) of a major renovation. I?ve gutted my entire place from floor to ceiling and although I?m doing all the work on my own, I am hopeful that I will complete this undaunted task soon.
