The one thing I am passionate about...
Right now, with school, I'm needing to be passionate about my studies, but I really love to be out hiking, enjoying the air, sun, and scene. I would be very content and passionate doing just about anything so long as the person I care for was a part of it.
I typically spend my leisure time
I try to get some exercise (kettlebells, run at a park, hatha, or hike the surrounding mountains). Picnics at the park, going to the zoo or some museum, a good movie, browse the web, cook, coffee, cuddle, watch the night sky, visit family and friends, etc...all are my thing. Although alot of time is taken by school, I gladly make time to be with those I care about. A quite evening (or maybe not so quiet if you have kids) of reading, music, whatever your thing is, while I study, read, or relax beside you...the being together--no matter what the doing--is what I would enjoy.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty...be honest with me. Be yourself...say what you mean, tell me what you believe, think, feel, and what you expect from me.
The first thing people notice about me
...that I am listening to them.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Joan of Arc - By Herself And Her Witnesses by Regine Pernoud To read her actual words and the words of those that knew her, including her enemies made for a very inspirational read.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- that God is real to me
- family (particularly my younger brother) and good friends
- life, and the chance to share it with someone
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
...that I can be trusted. Conversations would be much deeper if the person talking to me knew this. But I understand...trust is not free and must be proven over time.
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Happy, Hard Working, Kind
A little more about me
I'm generally a very happy person and am looking to share my life with someone. You should know, I've spent over 11 years as a monk in a monestary-type environment but left January 2010 because of my desire for family life. It was a beautiful life during which God became very real to me. I meditate daily and strive to see God's love in others, but don't push my beliefs on anyone. I am vegetarian (probably out of habit), but may one day reconsider. I'd happily cook whatever you like. Working now at a local hospital providing patient care, and am in school to be a Registered Nurse. You would find me to be a very loyal partner.
