The one thing I am passionate about...
My biggest passion in life has always been horses-- riding, groundwork, psychology, even just grooming. They are my best friends and teachers.I also love science (nerd alert!) and learning in general. If I had cable I swear it would be permanently stuck on the Discovery Channel and the History Channel. I guess I just love to know how stuff works.
I typically spend my leisure time
I love to read (very eclectic tastes), research various subjects I find interesting, and play computer games a bit on the computer I built myself. I also enjoy cooking and baking, though my sometimes exotic tastes make my meat-and-potatoes family a little apprehensive. I'm not afraid to shy away from complicated recipes, but finding ingredients can sometimes be a challenge!
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for someone fun and intelligent that likes an adventure now and then... but not TOO often ;)Seriously, I'm just looking for an honest, smart, down-to-earth guy that is fine with either trying a new restaurant or having a movie night at home. A desire to travel would also be a big plus!
The first thing people notice about me
I have a quiet energy and I am somewhat eclectic. Whether it's my taste in music and food or random facts that I have accumulated, I love variety.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Last Masquerade is the story of two wealthy young gay men from Bogota, Columbia, in the early 20th century. They make a trip to Cuba to see their favorite actress perform and to persuade her to let them write her life story. This book had it all - humor, drama, romance, mystery, and even crime - but the most engaging part was the way the chapters alternated between the adventures of the two protagonists and the quiet, stunning reflections of the elderly actress. The whole book was beautifully written, and each of the two narrators had his/her own, distinct voice.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The opportunity to continue my education.
- I have a couple of really close friends and great parents.
- The Big Bang Theory: One glimmer of hope in a land of brain-rotting reality tv.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I have a big heart, and I would do almost anything for those close to me. Because I'm an introvert, most people don't get to know that I am intelligent, interesting, and fun with a lot of love to give to the right person.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Easy-Going, Funny, Intelligent
A little more about me
I am interested in science, engineering, technology, and cool stuff in general. Lately, I have become very interested in sustainable and energy efficient design in architecture. I love to learn, and have a tendency to get sucked into the Wikipedia black hole! ;)As for why I'm here... To be honest, I don't have a lot of dating/relationship experience. I don't always know what questions to ask to get the conversation going. Once I get going I have a lot to talk about, but I really love to hear about others' experiences and opinions. So send me a message if you're interested!
