The one thing I am passionate about...
I have hobbies and interests like anyone else, however I think what I am most passionate about is the small stuff in life. With the 9-5 get to work, rush home, do this do that life style that so many of us lead today, I feel it is important not to overlook the simple pleasures in life. Take a moment and admire the sunset. Life is too short to waste it stressed out.
I typically spend my leisure time
Leisure time is something I think many of us never have enough of. When I am not keeping down a job and doing work around the house, I enjoy geocaching. It is a great way to get outside and see places you've never been before. I have been known to tinker with electronics and build computers. I also work on my own cars/trucks. I enjoy bike riding, camping, hiking, reading/writing and photography. I have spent a lot of time on my bike last summer, something to the tune of almost 200 miles worth of riding. Good exercise! Road Trips: Getting behind the wheel of the car, out on the road and out of town is always a good way to relax!
The most influential person in my life has been
If I had to pin it down to a single quality, it would be integrity. That one quality can speak volumes for a person. It can encompass fairness, honesty, compassion, honor... all in one package. Chemistry is also very important, that spark that can happen between two people is a wonderful thing.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read? It's been a while. I have read a few choice writings that I really enjoyed. Upton Sinclare's "The Jungle" is a very powerful story. I once started reading Travels With Charlie by Steinbeck, but regret that I never finished it. My biggest dream is to be able to take a trip similar to his. A truck, a camper, a companion, and a wide open road. One summer I went camping and ended up reading several paperbacks. There is nothing better for an imagination than to read. I don't just read, I see the story in my head.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Simply being alive. Life can be difficult at times, but it is worth living.
- Family. My family has always been there for me, and nothing can take their place.
- Health. Just about everyone needs to eat a little better and get more exercise, but being in good general health should never be taken for granted.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That there is more to me than meets the eye. It's the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" thing. I'm a little reserved at first when meeting people. But I open up after a while. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets nervous on a first date. :)

A little more about me
All I can say is I've tried to present myself as honestly as possible. In no particular order: I'm good with household and automotive repairs, you name it, I've probably fixed it. I would love to see more of this wonderful country we live in. Simple things tend to be more important to me. I desire neither fame nor fortune... family and close friends and experiences really are what life is all about. Leave the rat race to the rats! I'm not out for games and I'm not a "player". My grandparents were married more than 60 years, I only hope I am as lucky. You have to accept people for who they are, flaws and all.
