More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Life. Not just mine but all life and how each being interacts, affects & effects the other beings. Laughter. Its good for me and the world in general. My dog Max who is getting older, like me. Antiques, they make me happy, not to own all of them but to enjoy their beauty and think of the stories they can tell (or I can make up about them!)

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with the dog and walking him while watching the seasons change and wildllife patterns. Reading, TV a glass of wine, sewing and many more areas for fun, quiet time and adventures. Now that spring has arrived working in the yard, flowers and garden.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty. I am a person who you will always know where you stand with me and I with you. No games, unless they are for fun! Someone who enjoys art exhibits and also baseball. I have a lot of intrests and would like to share these as well as joinging in my partners intrests, Its about give & take in any relationship.

The first thing people notice about me

Shoes and hair. You never know what you will get with either of these. I dress from 2011 to the 1950's. I am a reenactor so who know what period I will add to the days dress. I'm just sassy! Now to the answer tot he question.Who you see is who I am. Honest, caringing, sense of humor (my come backs are quick so be ready) A love on the environment and all creatures in it. Good wine, music and laughter.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Civil Was Hospital Sketches , by Lousia Mae Alcot. She was a Civil War nurse and it is her writing of that time. As a nurse and historian I found it most interesting in where we were as a medical filed and how a "northerner" viewed the war. I am now reading Moods by her this is the first book she worte. "The Tao of inner peace" just when I thought I had it I realize I still have a long way to go for inner peace. Various Mags and Medicare publications.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My life I have and have lead & my children. My dog Max who has taught me to relax. Antiques, ones I have and lost and new ones to come into my life. The ability to create and share with others. Wishing this had a spell check. LOL
  2. My best friends and the adventures we have had together & more to come! New adventures with new people and places. A good glass of white wine with friends. Being silly because I can, being serious because I have to.
  3. My brain to think & continue to ask questions, read & grow in all areas of my being. Asking & finding & facing tought questions/situations by myself and sharing the lessons learned with others. Laughing at myself and the really stupid things I do sometimes. Sharing these with friends and a good joke, recent book read or recent adventure one of us has had,

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Seeing that my "airheadness" is for fun and I am serious when I need to be. I am a gentalwoman. Sometimes in work I have to be hard and forget to turn it off when I get home. (please reminde me if I forget)I travel a lot for work (between NC & VA) but can still maintain relationships and gentleness in them.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Hard Working, Spiritual, Warm

A little more about me

I live out loud, like adventures. These can be physical, inner or simple things like listening to new music, a good glass of new wine, a walk in the park, etc. Life is too short not to enjoy and "do" things. I can enjoy sharing these with another and have a great time. Pick myself up and do again and agin if I need to. Always LIVE and find happiness and most of all laugh at myself for some of the outragious things I do and have done in the past. Live in the moment, remember the past & look forward to the future. I try to be happy where I am, regardless of situation.
