More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I do support and volunteer at a rescue group in my area. I use to foster dogs more than I do now; however, I am focusing more on fundraising for the organization.

I typically spend my leisure time

Honestly, my leisure time is spent with my family. We have dinners, kids swimming and catching up. I also enjoy my friends; I have friends from grade school thru college and I enjoy catching up with them. I use to travel more often than I do now; but when opportunity arises, I like to get out and see other places. Not too far these days, but I did have a wonderful family vacation in San Diego, CA last year.

The most influential person in my life has been

If I had to choose the most important quality in a partner, it would be character.A man of character does the right thing with integrity and honesty. Character covers all the qualities of someone I would imagine myself with.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh and smile (at least that's what I've been told over the years.) I do not hold back on the laughter. When something is funny, I crack up with laughter!

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read was Angela's Ashes. It is a story of an Irish family in the 1930's and the hardships they faced during hard times. A mother loses two children; actually, it was a little depressing to me. My sister recommended it; not really my kind of book.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am most thankful for my daughter and my family. I don't think I could live the life I do without them. I am very family oriented.
  2. I am thankful for my religion and my faith. It is important to have a religious base in your life; however my religion is very personal to me, I don't find myself having constant conversations all about religion.
  3. My career is something that I have to appreciate because it provides my family with opportunity and a content life. I am very ambitious; however, I try to remain humble about career life. I have goals, but I appreciate the job I have now.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think some people perceive me in a light that is not what I am. Sometimes people may think I have it all together and really I'm just as human as anyone else.

Friends Describe me as
