The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about personal development, about helping others, and about traveling and immersing myself in other cultures. I am mainly passionate about life and about living to the fullest. I am passionate about working my hardest, playing my hardest, and helping as many people as I can as I go along.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy outdoor activities, such as Mountain Biking, Cycling, Hiking, etc. I also enjoy reading and good conversation with good company.
The most influential person in my life has been
Humility. Humility to me is such an important quality. To be humble in all aspects of life, in one's opinion, in one's beliefs, with one's possessions, with one's knowledge, etc. I have found that the greatest wisdom arises from the ability to truly be able to confront that we "really" don't know anything for sure, and that requires a certain level of humility. To one with this quality, the entire world opens up, all possibilities are true possibilities.
The first thing people notice about me
People are quick to notice my way of being. I am truly compassionate and caring about people. I have been told on many occasions that I have a generosity of spirit, and in the most humble way possible, I'd have to agree with them. It is a natural expression of who I am.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I recently read Spirit Walker by Hank Wesselman. The book is of a spiritual nature and describes Hanks experiences into the metaphysical world. At certain points in his life, his consciousness merges with that of an individual living about 5,000 years in the future. An individual of a Hawaiian Decent living in what is now known as North America. You have to understand that Hank is a true scientist, an anthropologist who never believed in anything metaphysical, until he experienced it for himself. What I liked most about it was the contrast that it depicts between all that is and all that we sometimes "think" IS.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful for my family and friends which are all important to me.
- I am thankful for my health and wellness which has never failed me. I am strong and able to live an active lifestyle. I don't take that for granted.
- I am thankful for the life I've lived, the people I've met, the books I've read, the places I've been, the choices I've made, and the experiences I've had. I'm thankful for the presence I've been able to cultivate, to be with life for what it is and what it's not and enjoy every moment the best I can.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
One of the things that frustrates me the most is when I hear people say "you're intimidating" and I think that mostly it's attributed to the way I speak on many topics that are of interest to me. I wish that people would realize that I'm just passionate about life in general, about this amazing opportunity we have to create our life and our world around us as we see fit.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Generous, Hard Working, Optimistic
A little more about me
For many, many years, I didn't run my life, my calendar did. I didn't have the time to date much, much less cultivate a meaningful relationship. I have, in recent months, transformed this relationship to time and created new possibilities in my life. Possibilites that revolve around those things that are important to me in LIFE. I'm at that stage in life now where having a meaningful relationship is important to me and I'm taking a stand for it.
