More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Travelling! I've been to 17 different countries, mostly in the last 2 years (when I made enough money to fund my own vacations). Just this summer I visited China, Russia (trans-Siberian railway!) and 10 countries in Western Europe, it was an amazing trip. I'd totally love to travel again. You meet so many interesting characters on the road, it's awesome!

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to lie around on the floor. My apartment has this really fluffy carpet. It was brand new when I moved in and it's so good that it makes me regret buying furniture. I enjoy plays and musicals, and I find anything with British accents to be adorable. British comedies are the best. If you haven't seen Rowan Atkinson's standup you are totally missing out! The classic British comedians are living (and sometimes dead) proof that there's more to being funny than swearing and talking about sex. I also started bouldering lately. I've done belay in the past, but it's a way scarier without ropes.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone I enjoy talking to and spending time with. I think that's pretty much the foundation of any kind of relationship. I guess in terms of what makes that possible, having common interests is a huge first step. The second step is having a compatible sense of humor. You don't have to make me laugh (although I'll probably laugh at your jokes, because I like laughing), but we should be able to laugh together, you know? :)

The first thing people notice about me

People often notice how freaking happy I am. I'm smiling pretty much all the time, and that's a pity because I have a really goofy smile. It's kinda hard to describe, but if you know me for more than 5 minutes you'll probably see it.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Terry Pratchett, Making Money. It's a novel in Pratchett's Discworld series. It has a delicious mix of interesting characters, strong plots and a healthy dose of humour.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. Opportunities to travel

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I tend to be cheerful and friendly by default, so most people are completely thrown off-guard when I talk about serious stuff. I am sentimental, but I usually only express that to my closest friends. Also, I tend to deflect issues that really trouble me with humour.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Easy-Going, Generous, Sweet
