The one thing I am passionate about...
Living life to its fullest! That includes being with friends and family, cooking, doing hair and helping people feel great about themselves, volunteering/giving back, many types of art and crafts, working out/being active, traveling, reading, watching sports, my dogs, outdoor activities including fishing and camping, photography, music, etc. Really anything that makes me happy :)
I typically spend my leisure time
I love to cook and bake, especially for other people. I guess it makes me happy to provide nourishment for the people I love haha, I'm kind of old fashioned that way. I've always loved to read, it's so nice to get away and give my mind a break from reality. My family gives me a lot of crap for this because they say it gets old but I also love watching football, basketball, and MMA. An ideal day off just relaxing & watching tv would be four NBA games in a row :) I like to read and watch things that are positive and don't weigh on my conscience.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for someone who is genuine and sincere, and that feels the same way about me that I do them. I'm a very logical person and I don't see any point in wasting time on something that you don't truly feel is meant to be. I value honesty, both with others and within yourself. Life is too short.
The first thing people notice about me
My "presence". It's very interesting to talk about myself this way, and it'd be hard to describe it in a small paragraph. My friends and family often say they don't always know how to accurately describe me to people because I'm very unique and don't fit many "molds". I'm told that I'm charismatic and that I leave a strong and positive impression.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I'm reading a book now called "If You Could Hear What I See". I saw the author speak at an event a couple months ago and I bought her book. She is a deaf woman who has gone through crazy things throughout her life but has this incredible, positive outlook. She talks about how to let go of things that are beyond your control and how to use humor to heal.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Being adopted by my grandparents and raised by a loving, supportive family instead of being placed in foster care.
- My health and that I don't have any physical or emotional limitations.
- I'm very well-rounded and I have all the tools I need to be stable, happy and successful.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Just because I am confident doesn't mean I want other people to feel that I'm intimidating the first time we meet. I also have an "old soul".
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Caring, Easy-Going, Loyal
A little more about me
I love trying new things and I'm really looking forward to seeing what this experience will bring :) I also have some piercings.
