More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most interested in reading, music, my friends, humor, living with the fewest things that unnecessarily clutter or complicate life, and working hard, both at work and at play.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading (just about anything), listening or trying to play music, doing something that brings a sense of peace and wellbeing (relaxing, exercising, old school videogames, etc.).

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality I want to find in someone else is compatibility.

The first thing people notice about me

I would have to guess my personality is the first thing that people notice about me.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read was (oh, God) "Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror" by Steve Alten...for the fourth or fifth time. I can't really describe either how awesomely goofy and cool I think a book about a giant shark run amok is, so: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meg:_A_Novel_of_Deep_Terror.Besides loving over the top shark fiction, a few factual errors (according to wikipedia), and some Deus Ex Machina, it is a really engrossing and fun book that was written by a first-time novelist who had the initiative to make the American Dream come true for him. To me that's really inspiring, and I have a weak spot for that kind of stuff!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for being able to learn from my mistakes and improve over time.
  2. I am thankful for being alive in the first place and having the opportunity to make the most of it and to have an opportunity to contribute to my environment.
  3. I am thankful for having a decent amount of persistence and not giving up easily.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am not sure.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Genuine, Hard Working, Loyal

A little more about me

I am kind of sentimental/schmaltzy, and I can be very (like over) opinionated about what constitutes good music. In my opinion, David Lee Roth-era Van Halen is better than Van Hagar; G'N'R's original line up is better than later G'N'R or Velvet Revolver, and jazz, blues, classical, old folk, funk, old gospel, old rock'n'roll, and old country and western are better than most things on the radio. (If you want, ask me about the "Wedding Hair Cut Story"!)
