The one thing I am passionate about...
i love learning about everything and all that's out there, i love history, i love psychology, i love art, i like knowing how things work... i really like to learn about what i don't knowmy favorite way of doing so is through traveling.
I typically spend my leisure time
well.. i like to do stuff with my friends, or be fun places with different people, i just like being social. I also like going places i've never been to, whether it's just a different trail in a park, or a whole new city, i like seeing and experiencing new things. It's also nice sometimes to do things simple like, just spending time at home--trying new recipes I've never made, or just reading a book i've been meaning to read since forever.
The most influential person in my life has been
Well, compatibility. Yes i know, that's very open-ended and i guess, not necessarily a quality, but really when you think about it, isn't it the most important thing of all? Whether it's an ability to compromise, or really be honest and have trust with the other person.. or simply both loving to laugh at stupid jokes. that's what it all boils down to.
The first thing people notice about me
this is probably not the best thing... but most likely how strong-willed I am. I can be a very stubborn person. but luckily with dealing with that quality for my entire life, I have learned to be pretty good at compromising.... eventually. lol. All in all, yes, I can be a force to be reckoned with.. but I also know when it's time to throw in the towel, and admit my defeat.
The last book I read and enjoyed
this summer I took a History of Civilization course--in addition to the normal historical facts we also studied the development of major religions over time, as well as studied different forms of government, and so on. We read a lot of very influential and important books to the world, including 'The Ramayana' and 'The Communist Manifesto'. If you haven't read them or don't know anything about them, i encourage you to at least, read the description.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- (of course, the obvious answer) my family and friends. those around who love me and support me no matter what, even when i screw up or just need someone to talk to.
- i'm thankful for the life that i was given. (and yes, while it may sound cheesy..) i'm thankful that i was blessed to be born healthy and lead a healthy life. I have supportive parents who, while not being wealthy, still provided my brother and i with an amazing environment to grow up in, as well as to this day still always being there for us both.
- while this might sound a little strange, i am actually thankful for all the tough times i've had in my life- the losses, the hurt, all of that. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and i have to try to look at the hard times as ways to learn and grow.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
probably the fact that there's more too me than meets the eye.. I think my general personality is much less serious and so a lot of people think that's how I always am-- a lot of times people tend to under-estimate me when it comes to what kind of things i'm really interested in. They're surprised when they find out that I'm really into something nerdy, like history, or that I take my education and performance very seriously.. things like that.

A little more about me
I don't want to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I'm usually said to be more mature than a lot of people my age. I've had to go through a lot of things in my life in the past few years that most people my age have yet to deal with. But it has only made me a stronger person. Now that I am finally back to feeling satisfied and settled in my life again, I'm ready to find someone to enjoy life with.
