More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I consider myself an art aficionado. I love various types of art in however form it chooses to manifest. I enjoy nature---particularly in the spring and fall. Such things inspire me to write, my particular art form of choice. I grew up in a musical family, so music is something I'm incredibly passionate about. Although, I'm not the best singer, I enjoy singing nonetheless. Mind you, I can read sheet music as well---though I'm not claiming to be proficient in such. I also enjoy helping others. Be it advice, service, or any other circumstance, I love to see people have an opportunity to reach their potential.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy writing poetry. I feel I can express myself where otherwise I couldn't in conversation. I also enjoy reading literature---particularly the classics. I'm somewhat of an old-fashioned girl.

The first thing people notice about me

My welcoming spirit. I believe if you show kindness, others can and will be blessed by it, regardless of their response. Just because someone's having a bad day and may talk rudely to you isn't your excuse to do the same. Spread love, don't keep it harbored.

The last book I read and enjoyed

White Oleander by Janet Fitch. It was basically one of those books turned movies, but as much as I detest those transitions, I must say it was worthy of catching hold of some other media. It was about a girl growing up and going through the foster home system as a result of her mother's murder. Very fascinating indeed. What I liked about the book was that it was an example of rich storytelling---detailed, emotional, and thought-provoking.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My faith and reliablility I have in God. Believing in an eternal, benevolent, all-knowing being allows me to see my life in a view with more positivity and hope for the future and even for my present situations. To know that God understands my troubles and even is willing to help me with them and love me all the while brings my heart such joy.
  2. I'm grateful for the love and support of my true family and friends. Not everybody who is related to you always has your best interests at heart. I found that out throughout my lifetime. But there are a select few that truly want to see you succeed. And whether or not they're related to me or not isn't a factor, just that common bond and connection of true brotherhood is key.
  3. I'm grateful for knowledge and experience. They say the latter is a teacher, of which I know to be true! It's so important to go out on a limb sometimes and see the result. There are times when just sitting back and observing just can't be done if you're trying to gain understanding. Experiencing possibilities and the trial and error system are needed to make the right moves on your life path.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

How dedicated I am. I believe I am a good friend, employee, relationship partner, etc. I love to love people and care for them any way I can. Perhaps, it's not that people don't notice that, it's that they take advantage of it. One thing I wish people would do, is embrace and enhance it by doing their part, instead of me doing the all the work.
