The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm definitely very passionate about traveling and getting to see all I can of the world. I studied abroad in Paris, France and I was amazed at how big the world really is. I want to see and experience everything! I'd love to walk a mile in someone's shoes and learn more about their culture and their perspective on life.
I typically spend my leisure time
I love reading so much but I don't like a particular genre. Some of my favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut, and David Sedaris. I also really enjoy singing. I was in choir at college and it was such a great way to unwind. I miss it so much! I also LOVE shopping! I could go shopping every day for the rest of my life if I really had the means.
The most influential person in my life has been
Although this is going to sound terribly cliche, I'm looking for someone who has a fabulous sense of humor. I love all kinds of jokes, corny and witty, and someone who can make me laugh definitely has my attention.
The first thing people notice about me
I would say that people definitely notice how dramatic I am. I talk with my hands a lot and I'm very expressive. I've been told that I have a very distinct voice and that my accent is really unusal because it's almost a combination of several different accents. I think it's like that because I have different friends from different places and their accents just rub off on me.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I just finished Chuck Palahniuk's "Invisible Monsters" and I devoured it; it was fabulous! If you don't know who he is, he's the writer of "Fight Club." Most of his books are so quirky and just...intensely different. You never know what the plot is going to really be. I love books that make you think. I'm not really a fan of girly books (like Nicholas Sparks books). I feel like they make women look really unintelligent.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- How fortunate I have been to be able to receive a college education.
- How fortunate I have been to have such a supportive, loving, generous family.
- How fortunate I have been to have a talent for languages and to use that talent to help others.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Well, unfortunetly, I can be a little ditzy and I also dress like a girly-girl, so most people assume that I'm not intelligent. It really bothers me, because sometimes they talk down to me or will make fun of me. Nevertheless, I always get to let my intelligence shine through when they least expect it. They just underestimate me.

A little more about me
I recently am a college graduate with a BA in French and Spanish in hope of becoming a translator/interpreter. Unfortunetly, with this poor economy, I have not been able to find a job in my major. This coming fall I have opted to go back to school to work on my Masters in French Education to become a teacher. I had always thought that I might want to become a teacher, but I was not sure if it was for me. Communication has always been such a vital aspect of my life. Now I look forward to teaching others how to use commmunication to grow and learn as well as to think in another way that they never thought possible.
