The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about many things. I am very involved in sports, creating art, socializing with friends and family, going to the movies, finding new fun shows to watch on TV, staying active by running races, going to fun restaurants and bars, traveling (when I have time) and meeting new people.
I typically spend my leisure time
Socializing with my friends and family (hosting dinners, meeting out at bars or restaurants, going to cabins, boating) will leave me with a smile on my face. Love playing sports and staying active. I try to run daily and when there's time, I'm always up for playing volleyball, basketball, softball, kickball, downhill skiing, water skiing, golf, tennis and racquetball. Also love watching Twins baseball and Vikings football!
The most influential person in my life has been
I love to laugh. I'm looking for someone who will laugh with me when things are humorous and on the flip side, when the going get's tough. I enjoy wit and people who surprise me with their humor.
The first thing people notice about me
This is a bizarre question. I've never asked this to someone.I've been told I have a great smile -- but this is mostly by my old VA patients!
The last book I read and enjoyed
It's been a pretty busy adventure getting through medical school and entering residency so it's hard to remember the last book I read for pure enjoyment but I do love a good mystery novel and I think the last one I read was one of John Stanford's books. I also enjoy Chelsea Handler's books! Other authors who rock include John Grisham, Dennis Lehane, Dan Brown and David Baldacci. I love a book that upon completion, leaves you interpreting the world differently, with more awe and wonderment.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- FAMILY - I feel so lucky to have such a caring, fun-loving, and centered family who are always there for me and who have always supported me throughout my life. When I get to spend time with them, I feel so blessed with their company.
- FRIENDS - I have had the excellent fortune of making wonderful groups of friends all throughout my life. From high school, to college to medical school, my friends have been such an integral part to my success in life. I truly believe I have the best group of friends a person could ever hope for.
- MY PROFESSION - I'm thankful for being able to practice medicine. Each step along this journey was an adventure that could have gone another way but I've made it this far and I truly believe it is an honor to be training as a Family Medicine physician.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm a genuine person and my personality tends to show fairly easily; people who meet me have a pretty good sense of what kind of person I am. I do have a creative, artistic side that may not come out right away.
