More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about Firefighting. I also really enjoy playing soccer. I like country music and rock. I have a cat named Scrabbles, you have to meet her to understand why that is her name. Family is very important to me.

I typically spend my leisure time

I spend a lot of time outdoors and at the firehouse. I enjoy hiking, swimming, and driving.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Firehouse by David Halberstam. It is about the brotherhood of firefighting and how families deal with grief and tradgedy. It follows FDNY Ladder 35 and Engine 40 that went out with 13 men on 9-11-01 and returned with one. The thing I liked most was how it painted such a vivid picture of a working firehouse.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for being where I am today
  2. I am thankful for having a job. I have lost three different jobs and am lucky to be employed today.
  3. I am thankful for the lessons that I have learned so far on the road of life.
