More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

caring for my family, getting the country back on track, keeping it safe and successful, living life to the fullest, sports cars, vintage automobiles, boating, travel

I typically spend my leisure time

I love traveling in general, the Florida Keys, Europe, and the Caribbean in particular. A snowmobile trip or two, in the winter up north is great fun. Weekend drives in sporty car on some twisty back roads. Cruising through the city in a old convertible is a nice way to spend a warm summer evening. Having friends down to the boat for dinner and a cruise along the lake front to watch the sun go down and the lights of the city come on, is always enjoyable.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who loves life and wants to enjoy all it has to offer.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm pleasant, polite, and respectful to everyone I meet, from the homeless guy on the off ramp to a Senator from a foreign country.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Eiger Sanction, by Trevanian. Clint eastwood made a move out of it in 1975.A retired C2 agent is lured out of retirement to hunt a deadly double agent through the Swiss Alps.I most liked the way Trevanian staged the fictional actions of the characters into the real Swiss locations. The story was much more interesting to me because I've been to the exact places where the story takes place.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. For my mother and father, there wonderful people, and great parents
  2. For my health, it's been darn near perfect my entire life, so far!
  3. For all of the good things that have happened to me in my life, I've been truly blessed. Also for the not so good things that have happened, there's been a few, because they have taught me to appreciate the good.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I don't know what people don't notice, It's never come up in subsequent conversations. People see things differently from one another an opine based upon their own interpretations of what, they, see and hear. This question assumes that there is one significant trait that isn't initially apparent. I'd bet that if the question were asked in later conversations, each answer would be quite different.I don't put on a front when I meet someone, I'm just me, so my wish, is that they know that!
