More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Road trips are one of my favorite things. I love exploring the USA and hope to visit every National Park - my favorite is Zion in Utah. I love to travel and I love my dogs. I love to travel with my dogs! I love photography, especially pictures of nature. I enjoy gardening and am also a Master Gardener. I always have music playing - at home, at work, in the car - my iPod is always with me!

I typically spend my leisure time

If I am not taking a road trip, you can usually find me gardening or shopping. I only work 3 days a week, so I am able to get away frequently - State Parks, National Parks and places of historical interest, sites of natural beauty; bridges and water (rivers, lakes, falls, ocean) are my favorite.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty.

The first thing people notice about me

I like to take charge of a situation. I will follow a good leader, but if someone doesn't step up right away, I will. It may not be a good quality, but I can intimidate people who don't know me well. I've been called "bossy" by others - especially at work.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book that I recommended to all of my friends was "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. The booked was touching and emotional. Written from the perspective of the family dog, the story centers around family bonds and dealing with disease, loss and death.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my close-knit family; parents and siblings.
  2. I am thankful that I have a great job and can live comfortably without money worries.
  3. I am thankful that I was born in the USA and can travel and explore my country freely.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am friendly.
