More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about my family- both the current well-being and happiness of my parents and siblings, and the prospects of having my own someday.

I typically spend my leisure time

Walking aimlessly around Manhattan, cooking, relaxing with my family, hanging out with friends, watching Mets and Jets games, playing softball, happy hour...among other things...

The most influential person in my life has been

I know that it is cliche, but a sense of humor. Wittiness, sarcasm, dark humor, impressions/voice imitations, a dirty mind...all great! I appreciate any guy that can make me laugh, and make even boring or mundane events fun.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably that I am a "good person"...whether it is a friend coming to me for help or advice or a stranger on a crowded subway platform seeking directions or assistance, I've been told that I am approachable, sweet and nice.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read the NY Times every day, because I enjoy learning new things and keeping up with current events (preferably with a liberal slant...). My favorite sections include Real Estate, Dining, Sports, Styles, Travel, Arts, and Metropolitan. I treat books the way I treat television and movies- comedies rule! Any book that can make me laugh and give me a break from a tough, sometimes sad job, is great. A recent favorite is Cook to Bang by Spencer Walker- a snarky, tongue-in-cheek dating memoir from a man's point of view...definitely made me smile.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The relationships I have with my family members & friends
  2. The ability to love and laugh freely and easily
  3. My health

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My warmth and sense of humor don't jump out at you at first, even though these are two qualities that anyone who knows me would say that I have. It's my own fault- I'm a bit shy when I first meet people, though the shyness wears away as I get to know you. Interestingly enough, I only have this problem when I'm sober... ;)

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Caring, Creative, Funny

A little more about me

I have dated different kinds of guys on different levels, from a couple of fun dates to longer, more intense relationships. At this point I am here looking for a serious relationship, if not with "Mr. Right" than at least the right kind of man. In five years I would like to be married with a baby or two. I know what a heavy statement that is, just thought I'd be honest and lay it all on the table.

Somewhat Liberal
