More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I don't have just one thing that I am passionate about. I love learning about many different things such as spirituality, politics, other cultures and their history. I love photography and interior design---anything that is creative.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy walking, yoga, going to the beach, playing with my dog and reading in my spare time

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality I'm looking for in another person is that they "get it." Life does not have to be complicated. We make it complicated. I live by the title of the popular book "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff," (and it's all small stuff). Life is too short to fret over the little things. I believe God has his hand in everything and that it will all be ok if you just trust. The second and third most important quality I'm looking for in another person is a really good sense of humor and patience. Laughter just gets you through the rough times and patience get s you through the trying times.

The first thing people notice about me

I receive a lot of compliments on my smile. I feel blessed to have had no braces and good genes!

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read was "The Help." I like historical fiction whether it be a movie or a book and this took me back to a time that helped me realize how lucky I am to be a black woman today and for my career choice...which is just that, a choice, something many black women didn't have during the 1950's and 60's.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My health and my children's health.
  2. The community in which I live. It's beautiful!
  3. wonderful caring friends who are always there for me.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Generous, Kind, Sweet

A little more about me

I'm just a simple girl who is laid back and cares alot about the people around me. I love a good story and a good joke. I feel like I'm a guy's girl----y'know, I can sit and watch Sunday football (go Chiefs!) and then the next minute dress up for a night on the town. I'm a girlie girlie but not afraid to hand you an oily wrench when you're under the hood of a car. I'm just an all around fun, charismatic person to be around.
