The one thing I am passionate about...
I absolutely love watching sports, especially the Who Dats and them tigers!! I am an LSU season ticket holder and would be for the Saints if the waiting list wasn't about 50k deep. I am always up for live music (watch out, my butt might start shaking a little bit around it) I am a Christian and always want that to be a part of my life. I am a huge LSU baseball fan. I am a foodie ( not in a snobby way...just really dig going out to a new restaurant, crushing the special and drinking wine) I own my own business in Nola and love Nola more than any other place, but if I could own another place, I would have one in Colorado. I love to skiing.
I typically spend my leisure time
I love to ski, but I can only do that about 1 time per year. I like to run and exercise. I just bought a new bike so I plan on using that a lot too for fun and easy travel around uptown. I like to drink wine and sit on my front porch in the afternoons, I love a good porch. Saints and Tigers, enough said. Music fests, check. Over-priced food at excellent restaurants, yes please. I love just being in a cool atmosphere. Whether it is inside, outside, at the beach or in the mountains. I also love to boil crawfish and I am exceptionally good at it.
The most influential person in my life has been
I just want someone who has a big heart. I have a big heart and when I find someone that has a small heart, it makes it tough for my big heart to fit in there. I am not interested in a cynic, you can be funny and make jokes about anything but if another person is being mean just to be mean then I can't take that.
The first thing people notice about me
I think people notice that I have a servants heart. I care a lot about my friends. My level of loyalty is both my ultimate strength and very likely my ultimate weakness. I am one of those people that everyone likes because they get a sense of loyalty and a servant's heart from me. Most people also think I am quirky and funny but in a good, fun way.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Honestly, the last book I read was The Chronicles of Narnia, The Last Battle. I know its a kids book, but I loved it as a kid and saw it on my friend's wife's bookcase and I just decided i wanted to read it again. I also find C.S. Lewis to be fascinating and I love his parallels to Christianity and the Bible. I believe the proper word is allegory.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- A great job!! My dad and I run the family businesses and so its nice to hang with him so much but it is also nice to be able to do what I want while also knowing that my financial well-being is dependent on my own production for myself.
- I am thankful for having a great family. I was raised in an extremely stable environment and I think it has paid off now that I am an adult. Family is very important to me. My family is part of the package.
- I am thankful that I was raised to both believe in God and depend on Him for my happiness. This makes money far less important, although it is important. It just doesn't rule my life. I have God for that.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I really have a heart for people that are not strong enough to help themselves. I stick up for the people who are taken advantage of that are defenseless. I am not, however, into giving things to people who can very obviously help themselves but have such a poor self-image that they refuse to help themselves. I also wish that people knew how much I love to run and that they would want to join me for races and afternoon runs. i would love to be asked on a running date...why not..."see what you are made of" kind of thing.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Funny, Loyal, Optimistic
A little more about me
I love football and that is definitely part of the package. I love being outdoors at festivals and listening to live music. I may start dancing at any moment...and it doesn't have to be "time to dance"...just sayin'...it could happen. I love to be active but I also love to be lazy at the right times...If you know this feeling, then we should hang out...I am a runner. Got into it last year and have not stopped. Never felt better ever since I started.
