The one thing I am passionate about...
I love writing. I have kept a journal for years and for the past few years I have been reading (tape recording) to a sick friend and now my mother who is also ill. I am teaching 4th grad girls at church to be Prayer Princesses and have enjoyed seeing them blossom to be Noble, Kind and Righteous, not Divas. I would like to write books about Miracles, Angels and about my own many experiences, from the stinging tears of pain to the tears of joy, to help give inspiration, laughter and hope to someone who may be in the shoes I once wore and continue each day, one day at at time.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy community and social events. I like experiencing new restaurants, arts festivals, travel for leisure and to visit family and friends. But, probably best of all I love to entertain guests from an intimate home dinner party to larger events. I always like to have a theme and allow everyone to feel like they are in a very special place and time.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for someone who believes in magic and miracles. Someone with a positive attitude who is happy and content. Someone with self confidence who makes others around him feel special.
The first thing people notice about me
When I walk into a room, I think people notice my smile. I always have liked the song from the Mary Tylor Moore show, "Who can turn the world on with her smile?" I want to be radiant, so people can see God's love through me and in me.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I read 5 to 6 books at a time. Jesus Calling, Jesus Lives, proof of Heaven, Angels in my Hair. I did read Falling in Love for All the Right Reasons (e/Harmony) book. After 2 years of family and friends encouraging me to join, it gave me the understanding as to the why for all the right reasons. I'm currently reading Napoleon Hill's Original Law of Success, The Power of your Subconscious Mind, Healing with Angles and The Complete Writings of Florence Scovel Shinn. Many times I like to re-read books such as Og Mandino's Greatest Miracle in the World.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful for where I am right now in my life. I feel a sense of peace with myself.
- I am thankful for my wonderful family, friends, bosses and co-workers. They all care about me and I them.
- I am thankful I am spiritual but not religious. I love life and I believe in magic and miracles.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I think I surprise people that I'm as sensitive as I am and even vulnerable at times. I have a tendency to take care of others and fix situations. So people see that as I'm a take charge kind of girl, with apparently no needs, but my heart is always on my sleeve.
Friends Describe me as
Generous, Optimistic, Physically Fit, Romantic
A little more about me
I'm from a big Italian family. Though we may be separated by miles, we are very close. We love life, laughter, good food and wine. I deviated from the Italian Catholic tradition of getting married and having babies, when I left my home in California and pursued a degree in theology. I wanted to understand the Bible and how to live a wonderful and abundant life that God has intended for me. My family loves me very much and they want to protect me, but I think they still scratch their heads at my independence and simple faith. I was unable to have children so I've borrowed nieces and nephews, and teach classes. I enjoy them their deligh
