More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about exploring the world around me. I like to travel locally around the state I live in, visiting festivals, fairs, places I haven't been before, and scenic locations. I have been to the UK and would very much like to do more international traveling. I would love to see New Zealand and Hong Kong someday among others. I would also love to see America's national parks and visit Washington D.C. I like walking and hiking and enjoying nature. I like to go places where I can enjoy nature's beauty, whether it's a tranquil garden or a wild rocky beach

I typically spend my leisure time

Traveling locally within the state I live in to fairs, festivals, farmers markets, museums, parks, gardens, the beach, and colorful small towns. Spending time with friends and family. Playing games on my computer such as Spore, Zoo Tycoon, and mmos like wow and swg.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is kind and loving and genuinely cares about their friends and family. Someone who is affectionate and not afraid to show emotion, and who is looking for a partner who could become their best friend.

The first thing people notice about me

My smile and friendly attitude. What will you notice first? I look forward to finding out!

The last book I read and enjoyed

American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It's a work of fiction about how the Gods of the "old world" came to America along with the immigrants and how they adapted to being nearly forgotten by the people who once worshipped them. Gaiman's writing style pulls you through the book, making it hard to put down! I finished it in 3 days.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I live in a free country where I can live the life I choose. America is one of the few contries in the world where a woman has equal rights under the law and where a woman is free to choose the life she wants. Sure there is still considerable discrimination out there, but it doesn't have to stop a woman from pursuing her goals. Someday we might even have a female president. Gender equality is extremely important to me and therefor I am very thankful to live in the USA.
  2. My family and close friends, for their love and support and for allowing me to love and support them as well. I am very greatful to have grown up with both parents and to have made some strong lasting friendships over the years. Despite being an introvert, friends and family are very important to me. I am definitely not a loner, I enjoy having my friends and family close to me and I enjoy spending time with them. Though the years their love and support has meant more than I can describe in words. Being able to offer them my love and support is equally important to me. I really like to feel loved and needed.
  3. Technology. Thanks to the internet, cell phones, and other cool gadgets life is more fun and more connected. Also advancements in medical technology are making it possible to live longer, healtiher lives and giving me hope that someday all major diseases will be cureable. Some people hate technology and always talk about "the good old days". I embrace technology and welcome the day when we have cars that drive themselves and machines that can make new hearts and livers and such for us instead of relying on transplants. I welcome technology that helps people and enriches life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That there is more to me than just a pleasant demeanor. I am also very empathetic and sincere. My friends know that they can come to me at any time and I will celebrate their successes with them and console them over their misfortunes.

Friends Describe me as
