More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about spending as much time as possible with the people that I love. I also am very passionate about sports. I played college softball and am a HUGE sports fan. I grew up loving sports and watching ESPN. I love my job. Being a nurse is very rewarding and am passionate about learning new things related to healthcare and my job. Lastly, I am passionate about music. I play the piano.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to be outside and play sports. Anything outdoors is fun and I love to try new things! I like to hang out with friends and family and just enjoy their company by laughing! I also like to travel!!!! Traveling is something that I try to do as much of when I have days off!

The most influential person in my life has been

A sense of humor :) I love to make people laugh and I am constantly making jokes and I would love someone who gets that! There are lots of important qualities that I am looking for, but sense of humor is the most important....laughter is the best medicine!

The first thing people notice about me

My personality.....I do not hold back and I always try to make others comfortable/happy. That is why I'm a nurse :)

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm a dork...I read critical care nursing textbooks.....I love to learn and I would like to know what I'm doing when I am taking care of my patients....I love to educate the families, as well as the patients, on what is happening

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family. I would not be the person that I am today without them. They mean the world to me and I will always put them before myself.
  2. My health. I am an ICU nurse and I see tragic illness/accidents everyday. It has made me realize that I am a very lucky person to be alive and in good health, instead of being a patient in the hospital. Being at work makes the things that "go wrong" in my life look like nothing at all. For that I am thankful.
  3. My friends. I am not superwoman and I cannot do everything. I sometimes need my friends to help me through tough situations and they have always been there for me. It feels great to have a great groups of friends that you can love and trust, no matter what.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm a blonde and I usually get a lot of crap about being blonde and "dumb"....I was valedictorian of my high school class...graduated with a bachelor's degree in nutrition as magna cum laude and another bachelor's degree in nursing as magna cum laude....I work hard for what I want in life and I am VERY proud of my accomplishments....I love to learn...that is why I choose to become an ICU nurse
