More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love to create and enjoy sharing my interests with others. I'm passionate about nutrition and how it affects each of us individually and as a society. I love to cook for my loved ones but mostly I do it just for the joy of creating something. Another passion of mine is music; I love to sing and to play the piano. I head to NYC to catch a show or play any chance I get! Most of all, I am passionate about my faith. It has made me the person that I am and it is an integral part of my life.

I typically spend my leisure time

In my spare time I enjoy reading for fun and about health and nutrition. I love going to good restaurants with friends and traveling both in the U.S. and abroad. I also like playing tennis (though admittedly I'm not so great at it).

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality for me in the person I marry is that they are committed to the gospel. Of course there are lots of other qualities that I'd like to find in the person I marry, but that shared commitment is the foundation.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am upbeat and generous with my time and affection.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Since I'm generally reading about three books at any one time, this is a harder question than it might appear. I enjoy books on nutrition and politics...but then of course I also enjoy Harry Potter.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. First I'm grateful for my family. I know this is probably cliche, but really they have given me so much and have made me the person that I am today. I love them more than anything, I am my best self with them.
  2. I'm so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who I know guides my steps each day. I have a life that I love and I know that I owe that to his guidance and blessings. Not that life has been perfect, but I can honestly say that I have been richly blessed and have felt His guiding hand in my life.
  3. My friends, I don't live close to my family and so my friends have become a second family to me. We laugh and cry together and we depend on one another. I'm glad I've been able to meet so many quality people throughout my life. I have had so much fun and have made thousands of memories over the years with these fabulous people.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm a little sassy but you have to get to know me first.
