The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm most passionate about being a mom, getting back into my chosen career field, and travel. I work very hard to be the best mom I can be and I am currently trying to get back into teaching after taking a break when my child was born and earning my Masters. I also look forward to my travel opportunities every year - near or far, I love the chance to get away and experience new people and places.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy going out to eat and trying new restaurants, taking dance classes, walks with my dog, hikes with my family, reading, binge watching my favorite TV shows...and I'm definitely open to trying new things - or revisiting old favorites (I rode horses when I was younger and I'd love to get back into it). I also love to travel - anything from day trips to local festivals, weekends to another town or state, or crossing the pond for a longer vacation.
The most influential person in my life has been
I want someone who is truthful with himself as well as those around him, and knows what he wants in life. He must love kids and he must love dogs. I want a genuine person who is kind and romantic, who is easy-going and with whom I share interests. I would like someone who loves animals, enjoys reading, likes going out to eat, and wants to travel - especially to the UK. I also believe in chemistry - there must be something that attracts me to him, and something in me he finds beautiful.
The first thing people notice about me
The first thing most people notice about me is probably my reserve (or goofiness, depending on the mood I'm in). I've always been an introvert and when people first meet me they might think I'm shy or aloof, but they are usually pleasantly surprised once they get to know me that I really do enjoy people and pushing myself beyond my natural boundaries.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I've recently read Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackkhouse novels - they are funny, gothic, and sexy. I've also recently read all of Jane Austen's novels for my final Masters course, including probably the best known one Pride and Prejudice...Austen, Dickens, Shakespeare, and even J.K. Rowling have all contributed to my love affair with England. My favorite genres are fantasy, gothic, and historical romances.
The three things which I am most thankful for

A little more about me
I am a simple girl who loves her dogs, loves nature (but not roughing it), enjoys simple things like eating out and weekend get-aways, values education and believes that we can learn something new every day.
