The one thing I am passionate about...
Running; watching hockey and baseball; monitoring the airspeed of unladen sparrows. The Water Company; my family; physical fitness. Etc. I am a guy from Maine - I don't get passionate about anything so far as anyone who doesn't know me would notice.
I typically spend my leisure time
I read a lot. Not to improve my mind or anything; I like Lee Child and John ConnolIy. I run four or five times a week. It was 9-10 a day every day when I was younger; now it's 3 or 4 max, and not every day. Aging is tough on knees.I go to the Pirates or Dogs every other week or so when they are in town and it's the right season.I rent a 130 year old house. Sometimes I work on fixing stuff up. I have no obvious talent for carpentry or painting, but if it's my place I am willing to try.
The most influential person in my life has been
willing to listen to CD that I got at Bull Moose for no more reason than because it was called Onieda (where my friend Rick went to college in nowhere upstate NY) (CD totally sucks, by the way). Other good things I would like to have in a relationship: you could be able to work a circ, jig or table saw; not scared of a nail gun or drill press. I have an old houseI don't play games. When I say anything, that's what I mean. I guess I am looking for a straight-up person.
The first thing people notice about me
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read was "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest," by Stieg Larsen. It was about a girl's effort to escape a government plot to cover up spy stuff, and as a by-product, lock her up. I love stuff where the defense attorney makes the other side look stupid. In one of my previous jobs, I was a defense lawyer.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful for my two wonderful children - Emma and Will - and I am sad their mother moved with them out of state. I miss them a lot. I would visit every weekend if it didn't take two days to drive to where they are.
- I am thankful for my family (dad, mom, brother and sister). We are close, and I know I can count on them, and they can count on me.
- I am also thankful that the Red Sox won the World Series twice in my lifetime. I really don't like this question. Hard not to come off as insincere and dorky.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I am 5'11", 140 lbs. But I am a marathon runner. I may be scrawney, but I am tough as hell.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Intelligent, Loyal, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I like walking, running, dinner, general food and coffee, movies, sports, TV, time with children, time without children, whatever. I am at the moment going to paint my son's room.
