The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm passionate about: Living life to the full! Simply taking the easy way out, whether in business or personal matters, seems promising but that's just not how I live. I have made every effort to live without regrets for as long as I can remember and that seemingly simple passion has led me down roads, introduced me to unique individuals and sent me places I never imagined possible. Life for me is a journey and less about a destination! To summarize it all for you in a single statement: God owns me lock stock and barrel and I have lost my religion and found a Holy God on a very narrow, winding road.
I typically spend my leisure time
Climbing in my jeep, rain or shine, and letting the landscape take me on a journey. But truthfully I do this to unwind from my days challenges at work, it helps me to stay grounded. When I'm not traveling I am either writing another line or two for a book I hope to publish one day, going for a walk in the woods with my dog, loving my children, hanging out with a neighbor over coffee or wrestling over my school studies. I let go of the tv about four years ago to make room for my family, friends, neighbors, writing a book and working on my masters degree. It's just the things I love most in life....!
The most influential person in my life has been
Honestly there is not one single trait that comes to mind, it's more of a bundle that all weaves together to make one unique person. Among them integrity, gentleness, kindness, strength, focus with flexibility, family centeredness with balance and maturity with a childlike love for life.
The first thing people notice about me
The obvious...I look you in the eyes when we are talking and listen...! And like my grandfather I've never met a stranger, I love making others smile.
The last book I read and enjoyed
"The Unforgiving Minute" It helped me to see through the eyes of another leader in the making. He opened up his failures as well as his successes and that helped me to see my own life lessons as opportunities .
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Another day to live...
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That behind my easy going demeanor is a serious soul.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Creative, Dependable, Passionate
A little more about me
Back in 2007 I woke up and realized I didn't like the man I had become. I had drifted into suburbia with the white picket fence and I was miserable inside. So I began taking back my life little by little. My life had become filled to the rim with "certainty" and I couldn't breathe. So I lost the cat and got a good dog, moved out of suburbia and in to the country, started "being the church" instead of just going to church, began to invest my time and resources into the lives of others and I woke up again, a new man with the same name. This may be more information than someone may care to know about me but "the truth will set you free!"
