I typically spend my leisure time

I do enjoy hiking Long hikes in the woods or mountains, long walks along beaches. Long walks calm me down and help restore order in my soul. I enjoy photography and taking pictures of interesting people and beautiful things. I also love adventure and going to places I have never been before, doing things that are new to me: New restaurants, new cities, new countries, new people, new activities.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The people in my life: I am grateful for lifelong friendships with people who stand by me, do not give up on me, teach me, love me and are kind to me. I am grateful for the friendships of young people who keep me honest, hip and informed.
  2. A rich, dual career in education and international human rights: I have seen the best and the worst of the world, and now I am able to teach others about it. I love teaching - with every new class, I wonder that I actually get paid to encourage, challenge, and learn from my students. I am so grateful for my students.
