The one thing I am passionate about...
After reading through some of my responses initially, I suck at this. Ok, round 2...what I'm passionate about. Never living the same day twice and living outside my comfort zone. As a result, I've been told that my identity is the lack in having one. I don't believe in limiting myself. I appreciate various styles of life and music and welcome simplicity. I'm as much a Gypsy as I am rooted and rational. Also, I belive in giving back; Philanthropy is a passion of mine. The world is so much better when it's not all about you.
I typically spend my leisure time
Anything outdoors whether it's working out, camping, aqautic activities, etc...I love being outside. I enjoy piecing the house together little bits at a time; one of my greatest, ongoing masterpieces. Live music!....I love, love a good bar and a guitar with flowing beer and Jack Daniels. And spoiling my four legged son, Bear.
The most influential person in my life has been
Emotional stability; I've found many obstacles along the way in dealing with men who are unable to communicate and appropriately express themselves. I'd have to say humor crosses the finishline at the same time...I love to laugh and make others do so as well; I've found that I need humor in my partner.
The first thing people notice about me
My smile or eyes...at least that's what I've been told, but apparently eharmony says "other than your appearance". Soooooo, I guess that no matter where I'm at, what the setting is, I'm unchanged...silly, animated and smiling.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I actually didn't like the last book that I read, but I had to finish it; Postcard Killers by James Patterson. I'm currently reading The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson. I like historical fiction and psychological thrillers. This book encompasses both. It's about Chicago's World's Columbian Exposition Fair of 1893 and the architect, Daniel Burnham, who built it and serial killer Dr. H. H. Holmes who used it to lure victims to his World's Fair Hotel designed for murder.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My friends and family; over the years I've realized I can't do it all by myself, they are a huge support system for me.
- My spirituality; it's got me to where I am today and it continues to get me through the obstacles life presents.
- Spontaneity; I love life for the little (or big) unexpected moments. Laughter and fun are the keys to a happy life.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I don't tend to hide too much of who I am; I'm goofy, passionate and driven...I'd like to think that most people pick up on this right away.
Friends Describe me as
Ambitious, Creative, Funny, Loyal
A little more about me
I never saw myself being someone who would internet date, I've actually been against it. I'm weary of how it all works, I've always been the hopeless romantic who thought they would meet their soulmate standing in line at the grocery store as all my groceries fell out the bottom of my bags or was running and tripped only to find prince charming there to help me up. Maybe I watch too many movies but I'm a "can't knock it till you try it" kinda girl. So, here I am...spending way too much time on the computer these days.
