The one thing I am passionate about...
I am an avid reader. I love to learn new things and to gain a better understanding of the things I already know. I am very politically interested and seriously enjoy a good debate. I am a huge science nerd. The night Curiosity landed, I cheered like my team just won the Super Bowl. I enjoy card games and am more than a little competitive. I love theatre beyond the telling of it, and most of my free time is spent working on shows. Thankfully, I get to spend a lot of time with my family at the theatre. I have the most amazing family and count myself beyond lucky to have been born into the one I'd have chosen if given the choice.
I typically spend my leisure time
I spend most of my leisure time at the theatre rehearsing. Next Summer, I'll be directing my first show in several years. I'm super excited about it!I do a lot of online research and old timey book reading, trying to come to a better understanding of the universe. The fact that I live in a time when my knowledge and understanding are only limitted by the amount of time and effort I am willing to devote to learning is a constant source of joy.I spend many evenings playing cards with my brother and friends or at my parents' house, playing a competitive game of Boggle or talking theatre shop with my Dad.
The most influential person in my life has been
Thoughtful intelligence tops the list. I am looking for someone I can talk with about politics or the latest scientific tidbit that caught my interest. I'm looking for someone who can share my joy instead of laughing at it. I want to sit up and talk about the what-ifs, debate a random topic without logic jumping out the window, and I don't want to always win.
The first thing people notice about me
I tend to ramble and rant. I get rediculously excited over things that catch my interest. My passion gets noticed.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I am late to the game on this one, but I just read Assasination Vacation. It was fantastic. I loved the wry humor and the use of historical figures and events to comment on (then) current events. Also, I learned so much reading it!
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful for my family. They are my best friends.
- I am thankful that I live in a time and place where I can speak an unpopular opinion or fact without fear.
- I am thankful that I have vast stores of information at my fingertips.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I don't tend to wear my personal emotions on my chest. A lot of the time, that leads people to think my skin is thicker than it is.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Creative, Intelligent, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I tend to take life with a dash of humor. When life is rocky, growling about it doesn't make it smoother. When I crack a joke in the ICU waiting room, it doesn't mean I don't care. It's just how I deal. Also, I date men and women. I know that's an issue for some.
