The one thing I am passionate about...
People, definitely people. Whatever the setting and circumstances I have this uncontrollable urge to try and bless people. I find joy in creating an environment or a product that for a short bit can distract, encourage, lift up, touch, humor, even nudge people to think differently about the world, or about themselves and their situations. The people I work with are my ministry, and the material I create, be it a movie, book, or artwork are small ways to effect people's lives. I'm passionate about people, and how we tick, and how we can tick better.
I typically spend my leisure time
My leisure time is usually spent reading a new book or revisiting an old one, studying movies, writing my own projects and realizing them, and socializing with friends. Cooking, cleaning after cooking, and then eating the cooking are also top time spenders on the list.
The most influential person in my life has been
Commitment, not just to me, but to all things. To their beliefs, to their family, friends, work, and passions. I need someone that can be my biggest fan when I'm doing good, and be my support when I am not doing so good. God has his hands full, and sometimes He needs someone that can smack me over the head or hold my hand. :)
The first thing people notice about me
My laugh tends to draw people in. I have quite a few of them. There is the "giggle", can be high pitched at times. Followed by the "cackle", don't think of witches, but it's still a "cackle". The "guffaw", which I am so glad I spell checked. And then the "unnamed" I might wet myself laugh. Most of the time I will use one or more, never less than two, sometimes varying between them so much that you missed a few. I love to laugh, and I love to hear and see people laughing.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I am always bouncing back to revisit Terry Pratchett. I believe the last book I re-read is called "Going Postal". It is about a con-man, a shiester, a trickster and thief, that is "hung" by the government for his past crimes. Fortunately for him, he was hung under a fake identity, so when he wakes up after being "hung", he hasn't really been killed, his fake identity has. He is offered a choice, either to hang by his true identity, or take a new job as the Postmaster General, and attempt to keep the outdated and horribly run postal system running. It is a socio/political/sci-fi/comedy, I guess ask me how he does it, or just read it.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- An amazing family that loves and supports me.
- An amazing world, and all the things it has to offer.
- The amazing God that has been essential in surviving this life.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Deepness of character would be something interesting for people to notice. It usually takes a prolonged exposer to get to know me, or maybe understand would be a better term. When we meet someone briefly, even if we enjoy our time getting to know them, we don't always trust our first impressions. It be nice for someone to see a bit deeper so they feel more at ease with the "nice funny guy" front, that isn't actually a front, but a deeper front that is also a back...That makes no sense, and I am okay with that making no sense.

A little more about me
Two things, well, there is more but I figured it should be kept simple. More of thoughts/and/or conclusions.1.) Someday we will be old enough to read children books again,and2.) It is said that your life flashes before your eyes right before you die. That's true, it's called Life. Really that is not anything additional to know about me, just random thoughts. The abbreviated get to know me:I grew up in an Indian village in Guatemala named Patzun, my parents are missionaries, my grandparents were missionaries, I like making movies, I like talking, I like listening, especially if coffee or food is involved.
