The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm passionate about music. I have been a violinist for 30 years and still going strong. I love playing in orchestras, special concerts, churches. I'm also passionate about my kids and other children in the world. Children, elderly, and animals, I just love and are closest to my heart.
I typically spend my leisure time
On weekends when kids (12 and 16) are with their father, I love shopping, watching movies at home, but most of all I love playing gigs (violin). I am also looking for something new to do which is why I'm enrolling in Eharmony. I want to get out and meet more people, mingle, and hopefully find "the one." :)
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for a GODLY man. I'm not saying that you have to be perfect because we all fall short of the glory of God, but I do wish for someone who not only talks the talk but walks the walk. :) What I'm looking for in a man is someone who communicates. I'm looking for someone I can trust. Without trust and communication, there is no relationship. I'm looking for the right man that I can treat like the king he is and just spoil rotten. :) Most importantly, the man I would like to have in my life must love and be good to my two boys, 12 and 16, my prides and joy! :)
The first thing people notice about me
I would have to say my personality. When people meet me, the first thing they say is I have a very warm personality and that I'm very easy to talk to. Sometimes I find that I can be in a doctor's office or at the store, and people will just start talking to me like they've known me for years.
The last book I read and enjoyed
"Breaking Free" by Beth Moore. She reached inside of me and pulled out things that I did not even know were there. She helped me through a very tough time in life, and she is partially responsible for the smile I display on my face today. :)
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Knowing my Lord and Savior as my personal Savior. Without Him, I am nothing
- I'm thankful for my children, two wonderful sons. They are true blessings to me. They stay out of trouble, well-mannered, and just fun to have as sons. Having said that I am very thankful to have my parents and siblings as well as all of my friends and family.
- My job as medical assistant. I love helping and nurturing others. It's the best decision besides becoming a mother I've made. It gives me purpose. I also am thankful for the gift of music, being a violinist for 30 years.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I wish that more people would realize that just because I smile a lot and I'm overall a happy person that does not mean I'm a doormat. Sometimes my "niceness" puts a target on my back for people to take advantage. I don't like that. I want to be taken seriously and respected, just as I give respect.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Good listener, Optimistic, Sweet
A little more about me
One thing that I look for in a relationship besides a man's relationship and walk with God is honesty. I cannot stand lies, and I feel not telling someone something is the same as lying especially when it has to do with my life. Without trust, honesty, and communication, there is absolutely no relationship.
