The one thing I am passionate about...
Passion has little to do with the relationship with another person as it does having a deeper understanding of self. I am passionate about sharing all that the world has to offer without depending on the signifcant other to provide.
I typically spend my leisure time
So I will assume leisure time does not include time spent with my 5 year old son as that would easily dominate this answer. During the summer months I play softball Sunday mornings and once a week in the evening. On weekends I head up to Michigan to my little cottage to enjoy life on the lake. Time spent laughing with friends is what it's all about. The longer you know them, the funnier the stories. My reckless days are behind me yet I always seem to push the limits of my aging joints.
The most influential person in my life has been
Secure with themselves, comfortable in their own skin, financially dependant, a great laugh!
The first thing people notice about me
I usually get a statement about my laid back, carefree approach to life. I'm not afraid of hard manuel work as I've done it the majority of my life but if I have a choice, I would rather take the easier path these days.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I'm currently reading "The Happiness Project". I like books that have an immediate effect on your perspective. I loved the book, "Celestine Prophecy". "Conversations with God" taught me how to affirm things with the universe. The book "Unbroken" was spectacular as it is a true story which makes everything more enjoyable. They are making a movie of it and I can't wait. Great book.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Easy: my son
- A strong network of great friends
- Present moment awareness
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My annoyance with ignorance which includes any big sweeping statements which limit somebody or something, any blatant racial statements, road rage, killing or extreme militant lifestyles, close minded hypocrites, bla, bla, bla. You get the idea. If people realized how insecure they sound when they act or say something racial, extreme, ect. they wouldn't do it. I try not to say "hate" but I hate insecurity. Wait, I hate mosquitos too!
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Funny, Perceptive, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I have little patience for insecure people. We all like a shoulder to lean on but I don't do well with emotionally unstable people or energy vampires. Nervous jitters are normal. I'm talking about people who act all high and mighty only to pull down everyone around them. If you're not somewhat the same on the beach as you are in an interview, one or the other is an act.
