More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Definitely music. I have loved music since I was very young, and was fortunate enough to learn to play several instruments. I've been playing music for about 12 years now, and every time I do, I get something new out of it. It gets me out of bed in the morning.

I typically spend my leisure time

On my days off, I enjoy studying and playing music, learning Japanese, reading and writing, going to a sporting event with my friends, finding a good bar or restaurant, hiking and biking.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone with whom time spent together is always fun and enjoyable. I can go out or stay in, as long as I am having a good time. I love a challenge too. If she is sweet and affectionate, has a sense of humor, communicates well, values music and is sporty, all the better.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably that I am a bit eccentric. I enjoy talking about topics that are outside the standard fare, and my interests are different than most of my peers. Bring up philosophy, music, sports, travel or social dilemmas and I can talk for hours.

The last book I read and enjoyed

American Psycho. I know, crazy and intense, but it was exhilarating to get into the mind of such a twisted man, and see the world through his eyes. Also, it was full of insight on the culture of materialism, greed and violence. I would defend that book any day.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My loving family and friends, who have supported me in all my endeavors.
  2. My personal successes and failures, which motivate and educate me.
  3. My musical background, which allows me to create and appreciation music.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I always like when people have a healthy respect for and interest in my passions. I value music, relationships, communication, leadership and progress very deeply. For that reason, I appreciate the passions of others too, and find it delightful when I discover someone's true callings.
