More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Photography, my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, live music, travel, cooking for my friends and family, anything real estate, shades of blue, birds (doves are my favorite) moving water, forests, a good story ( Iam a writer), home decorating, mountain biking, humor, barns, flowers, gardening, just to mention a few.

I typically spend my leisure time

It doesnt get much better than me cooking in my really cool kitchen for my friends while sharing a good bottle of wine and conversation. Planning my next travel adventure. Making my surroundings beautiful and relaxing. So I like home improvement stores and estate sales.

The most influential person in my life has been

I would have to say honesty. Its the cornerstone of self awareness, integrity, and character.

The first thing people notice about me

A persons attitude. I think a positive attitude will get you through anything and attracts other positive people to you. I dont have time or the energy to be affected by negative people.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Letters to Nicholas: by James Patterson. I like a good story and Patterson has perfected his wrtting style. A friend suggested this book. I was expecting a thriller, but pleasanly suprised by this touching story of love, loss and second chances. it revolves around a diary that was given to a lover on the evening her decides to leave her. The broken hearted woman reads the diary. It is written by his former deceased wife to their young son. I liked it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My two beautiful daughters. It is every parents hope to raise stable, responsible and interesting people. For this I am truly blessed. I was very involved with my children. I encourged them to try all kinds of opportunties. Thet were raised in the country with horses. I believe kids learn best by example so they saw hard work paid off, goal setting was key to sucess, and honesty and integrity was the yard stick with which to measure people. Today they are strong, beautiful women. They are college educated and loving life. We are very close and I have two beautiful grandsons.
  2. I am grateful to live in America. I fly a flag, I support our troops, and thank a Veteran for serving every chance I get. I believe in the freedom of expression and will fight to the death for your right to do so. I can vote, own a business and worship God my way. I can presue my dreams whatever that means to me. My heart swells when I hear the National Athem and I always stand and place my hand over my heart. I guess you could say I am a patriot.
  3. I am grateful that I travel. This is the most fasinating way to make to new friends, learn something new, try different cusines, and learn another way of life. I love it, its my favorite. Of course I am all about doucementing , so my camera is clicking away, another passion of mine. Photography and travel, does it get any better than that? I think making memories is SO important.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Beacuse I say what I mean and mean what I say, some may think that I take life to seriously. I love life and being direct is part of the honesty equation for me. I just want to have fun and enjoy each moment. No games please.

Friends Describe me as

Genuine, Intelligent, Optimistic, Spiritual
