More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love music. I love going to concerts. Lately, I have been on a kick to see a lot of older groups that might not be around much longer. Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. I also enjoy playing my trumpet and guitar. I am learning ukelele also.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to take my dog out so he can run around. I used to go sailing when I lived in Erie, Pa and I am considering getting another sailboat so I can start that again.

The most influential person in my life has been

I think the most important quality a person can have is a sense of humor. I enjoy laughing and having fun and when you take yourself too seriously you miss out on a lot.

The first thing people notice about me

My sense of humor. I generally have a quick, funny response in any given situation.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough. It is a biography about Teddy Roosevelt's early life. I like to read biographies about great people because I like to see what made them who they are/were. This one was great because Teddy was so unhealthy as a youth and he chose to work and work on his health. Most people know him as a robust man but he was very sick when he was young...I don't know. I really liked the book.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family is what I am most thankful for.
  2. I am thankful for my job. I work with my father which is nice because it has brought us much closer to one another. When I was younger we weren't close and now he and I are good friends.
  3. I love my dog. I have a chocolate lab named Grundy and he is really sweet and loyal.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am a little shy when coming into a new situation. So I guess I wish people would notice that I actually enjoy being social. It takes me a little bit to warm up to a situation.
