More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Big family gatherings, especially when all three generations--the cousins, the nieces, my sisters--are all together.

I typically spend my leisure time

1 -- Good wine, food, and conversation, I'm a total foodie who loves one-on-one dinners. (My favorite restaurant is Little Owl in the West Village.) 2 -- Walking; taking the long way home is one of the things that relaxes the most.

The most influential person in my life has been

Thoughtfulness. Someone who makes me feel good about the things I am and the things I do--about my decisions, my sacrifices, my parenting, my accomplishments. This is something I always do for the people in my life, but sometimes forget to do for myself.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm a good listener and conversationalist. When I talk to people, I'm fully engaged and genuinely interested in what they're saying and what we're talking about.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My daughter who's taught me more than anyone, and lets me continually see the world through a child's eyes.
  2. My job--my ability to be self-sufficient and independent, and provide for my daughter and family.
  3. The support my family and friends have always given me.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Good listener, Loyal, Thoughtful

A little more about me

There are two compliments people have often given me that have always resonated. First, "you always see the glass half-full." And second, "as a single mother, you've co-parented better than most married parents, uniting two families in a loving environment for your daughter."
