More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I enjoy trying new things. There isn't any one particular activity that I'm overly passionate about, but I enjoy learning & experiencing all that life has to offer.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy spending time exploring new sites. It's nothing for me to get in my car & travel to a new city for a day or weekend & just see what it has to offer. I love learning & exploration.

The most influential person in my life has been

Everyone says honesty, romantic, & a good sense of humor. I'm just looking for someone with all their own teeth. :) The other qualities listed are just a bonus! LOL.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I love to read. I like both fiction & nonfiction. Lately I've been busy reading text books on nursing since I'm furthering my education. Therefore, I'm reading a light hearted "chick" series by Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum - I'm on book #4 "Four to Score". They are laugh out loud reading. A nice change from text books.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The friendships I have maintained over the past 30 years with wonderful people in all stages of life: our differences in financial situations, family, children, careers, or religion don't matter since in the end, morally we are all on the same page.
  2. The love I get & give to my family. My family is small, we can disagree with each other, even yell & be upset with each other, but no matter what, we are a family. We always are there for each other. We don't need to agree to be able to show our love!
  3. I finally found a career that I love. I may be more physically tired after a day's work that I ever have been in my entire life, but being a nurse feeds my soul. It's a great feeling to take care of people & watch them get better. On the down side, when a patient dies, I feel honored to be present to make their last moments on earth as comfortable as possible. Unquestionable faith has brought me to this point in life. I love taking care of others as a registered nurse.
