More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

spending time with friends is very important to me. Additionally, I spend a good deal of time volunteering for political and non-profit organizations. These activities are important to me personally and professionally. Politics, as it is my profession, is very important to me, but it doesn't need to be important to my partner.

I typically spend my leisure time

One thing I like to do regularly is to sit on my patio, read a book and smoke a cigar (sorry, I do smoke cigars, but not cigarettes). I enjoying going out with friends, either to eat or to the movies, or hanging out and playing poker. I like exploring new bars and restaurants, or going to old favorites.

The most influential person in my life has been

It's so hard to say. There's so much I'm looking for, it's hard to define what is the "most important quality". Trustworthiness, humility, being warm-hearted, friendliness; someone who is caring, open-minded, energetic, who has good values...I can't pick one. They're all important and all shape the person I'm looking for.

The first thing people notice about me

People usually tend to notice that I'm extroverted. Not in an egotistical way, but in a friendly, not-shy-in-new-situations type of way. And my jokes - I have good jokes.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"A People's History of the United States". It's a book about American History. I'm kind of a nerd like that.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my spirituality
  2. my career
  3. my family and friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My caring nature. It doesn't always come out at first, but it's there and it runs deep.
