More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I want to get out of this life all that I can (in terms of living it - not with 'things' and certainly not at the expense of others).

I typically spend my leisure time

Working around my house (piddling), watching college football (my guilty pleasure), working out, or going for joyrides in the mountains (either in the car or on the motorcycle).

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone first and foremost with a kind heart. You know who you are. You're the person who does little things to say that you love someone - not because you want to feel good about yourself, but just simply because that's who you are. That's who I am.

The first thing people notice about me

How can someone first notice something about someone that isn't based on appearance? I'm not sure this question has a real answer.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis. While I don't define myself as being religious, Lewis' writings have spoken to me and opened my mind to things about which I hadn't considered. Belief in God, of course, is different than being religious (although some might debate that). That's definitely a conversation to be had and not something one can easily get into here.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My life. I enjoy living and being alive. That might sound silly, but if you think about it, life itself is a very neat thing. I appreciate mine.
  2. My career. I am fortunate enough to have a job I love, with a company who values me, I get to work on things that I direct, and have a lot of flexibility in my job.
  3. My mistakes. I know that I wouldn't be the same person had I not made them.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I have a huge heart. I believe in giving selflessly - this has caused me quite a bit of grief over the years - but it's just who I am.

Friends Describe me as

A little more about me

You take care of yourself. I do. Yes, I still smoke on occasion but am really trying to cut that out completely. I got to the gym 3-5 times a week and I watch what I eat. I'm not yet physically where I want to be, but I'm still at it.I'd prefer someone open to having another child (not a deal-breaker for the right person). I love children and can (and have) love someone else's children as my own. I would like to be a father if possible (more importantly a Dad) and I'm looking for someone to share that joy and responsibility with. I'm looking for someone to share life with
