More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Music and pets. Corny, but I love my cat and my dog more than life itself, and though I consider myself a writer at heart, I would not be able to live without music. I'd make a career in it if I knew where I'd fit!

I typically spend my leisure time

I love shopping, even if it's just window shopping. I could spend a whole day just looking at beautiful things I'd like to have. Weirdly enough, it doesn't always depress me if I can't have them! ;) I love to hang out with my friends or stay in and watch a movie. I'm not a partier and would rather kick back at home than go to clubs. Finally, I loooove to bake. I experiment with cakes of all sorts and my lucky coworkers get to be the tastetesters, haha.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm not even 100% sure what I want from another person but it'd be great to find someone who can help me figure it out. Maybe someone a bit more low-key than me to help balance things.

The first thing people notice about me

People have always commented quickly on my sense of humor. I'm pretty good at targeting it to the specific audience, seeing as I work in customer service, but I'm very sarcastic and dry, and somehow people like that about me. Who knew?

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read a collection of short stories called Radio Elvis. Some of them were a little silly but a few were amazing. I find my attention span has shortened as I've gotten older (isn't it supposed to be the other way around?), so it's been easier for me to focus on short stories than full novels. I love dramatic imagery and strong emotions, as well as stories that stretch reality, and this collection had a good mix of all of the above.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Having a job in this economy! Might not be a job I love but it's better than nothing. :)
  2. My parents. I've come to appreciate them much more as I've gotten older. They aren't perfect but they've done the best with what they have and I know they love me.
  3. My friends. I'm not the most popular, of course, but I've always been lucky enough to have a few friends I can count on 100%.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My shoes? :P
