The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about many things, mostly travel. I would love to see as much of the world as I can in my lifetime. High on my list are Egypt, Brazil, Japan, Italy, Spain, Iceland, and Alaska, to name a few. My favorite vacations so far have been to Paris, London, Jamaica, and India. I also enjoyed a cross country drive with my sister years ago where we were able to experience many different cultures within our own country, and what an experience that was. Another passion I have is Football! I'm a die-hard NY Giants fan, so Sundays during football season are lots of fun if you enjoy football! I also love playing hostess when I can!
I typically spend my leisure time
In my free time I enjoy going to the movies, sporting events, having dinners with close friends, and spending quality time with my family. I moved to my area of downtown Jersey City two years ago and love to explore my area, discovering new restaurants and parks to enjoy. To relieve stress I go to my gym regularly (3-5 times a week) and attend yoga classes when I can (2 times a week on average). The exercise and yoga helps to keep me centered and focused on the important things in my life, as well as keeping me healthy!
The most influential person in my life has been
I need someone who can make me laugh at myself when life gets a little crazy. I stress over the little things sometimes, and I over think things a bit too often. I would love to meet someone who has a lighthearted spirit and can make me laugh, because at the end of the day that's what it's all about!
The first thing people notice about me
My optimism and good nature. I am always cheerful when I'm in a conversation, whether I just met you or have known you for years. Life can be tough sometimes, but you would never know it when you speak to me. I love to laugh and do it often. Life is too short to waste time being sad or frowning!
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book that I read and actually enjoyed was The Kite Runner. An amazingly disturbing book about a young boy's life and the tragedy he endures and life lessons that follow. There was a scene early in the book that was so disturbing I couldn't pick up the book again for days, but eventually had to go back to it and couldn't put it down. It has been a while since I have read a book that I enjoyed that much, but I do enjoy a good light read from time to time.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family. I am so lucky to have been raised by such amazing parents who have instilled such great values in me.
- My friends. I would never get through the tough times without my dearest friends.
- My success. Many people in this country are not as fortunate as I to have a successful career or a roof over their heads. I am so lucky to be blessed with a strong educational background and the drive to succeed.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I know it's going to sound a little awkward, but my insecurities. Or maybe I should say, that I have insecurities. Often times people notice about me that I'm very confident, which I am. But it gives off the impression that I'm 'stuck up' or unapproachable. I wish that people could see how friendly and approachable I really am. I have many insecurities like everyone else, I just try hard not to show them.
Friends Describe me as
Ambitious, Caring, Hard Working, Intelligent
A little more about me
I love meeting new people and am always up for trying new adventures. I have a great job that I absolutely love. Helping my patients feel better is the reason that I do it, and it gives my life purpose. I enjoy travel, good food, great wine, good company, and NY Giants football!
