More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My faith in Christ. He completely shapes the way I live my life. Painting, Photography, Music, Vegetarianism (12 years)

I typically spend my leisure time

Playing and seeing music, drawing and painting, photography, movies, rest, conversation, exploring the city, shopping, house decorating, eating out, learning new things

The most influential person in my life has been

Openness. Being able to share who you are completely. Not everything at first, but that as the relationship grows, knowing each other more deeply and unreserved grows as well. I find over and over again that people hide who they are in the beginning because they're afraid the person won't like them. So then you are 6 months into the relationship to find out who they really are and don't even like each other. Why not just be honest from the beginning and find whether you work early on? Don't compromise. Nobody is perfect, but God gave you certain tastes for a reason. Don't settle for less than amazing!

The first thing people notice about me

I think my sense of humor is something that is immediately apparent once someone gets to talking to me. I'm always laughing at the tiniest stuff. It's what makes my day worth living. I don't like to take life too serious. Don't get me wrong, life has a serious side and it should be revered, but it's also way too short to be so calculated all the time. ...and I apparently like run-on sentences.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I recently re-read a book by Joshua Harris entitled "boy meets girl". It's kind of a guide to "courtship" and his perspectives on how relationships should unfold biblically. It's kind of idealistic and maybe not always practical, but there is a lot of good in the book as well. I'd recommend it, but would also say to remember to think of it as a perspective piece. It's not the inherent word of God, but a few people I know that have read it take it that way.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Health
  2. Faith
  3. Security

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My friendliness, openness and compassion. My love can be measured soley in compassion. For those I love I will sacrifice and will put before myself as much as I can. I want to be there when I have a friend going through a hard time, even if it's just to listen and offer a shoulder. Or to give advice if that's what they want.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Hard Working, Spiritual

A little more about me

My faith is what drives me through this life, even though I am far from perfect. I can only strive to follow Christ as best I can, even when I fail. A heart that desires God above all else is what will make a relationship the deepest and most connected of any. As you're seeking Him and your partner is too, your souls mend together.
