More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about continuing to learn and evolve and embrace many things that help me do that, reading, travel, trying new things

I typically spend my leisure time

Trying new things, camping and generally being outside, traveling (I really love national parks) and road trips. I DO love Disney, sadly yes. I love to go to karaoke too. I rarely watch TV but I love movies.

The most influential person in my life has been

If honesty is a given, I would say compassion is a must for me. I relate best to others that truly care about others whether it be people, animals or the state of the world. Apathy is a non-negotiable.

The first thing people notice about me

Good question, I have had some strange feedback on this one through the years. I have been told at first glance I seem (gasp!) unapproachable! The fact is that I'm fairly shy not arrogant or snobby AT ALL. Once I am comfortable I am very open, honest and funny.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I recently finished the Hunger Games series. It was about a world in which people were basically starved and lived a life of slavery. Once a year the government holds this game in which 2 people from each of the 12 districts are put into an arena and forced to kill eachother to win/survive the game. It is a story of survival and resilience and making choices for yourself where others see no options. What I liked most was the message of rising above what is handed to you to achieve a greater purpose.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family (immediate and extended) for love and support
  2. My friends and colleagues are people I can share my mind with which also included family members and pets
  3. My ability to find the humor in life's dark moments and taking the time to enjoy the good moments

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My dark sense of humor

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Easy-Going, Genuine, Spontaneous

A little more about me

I'm a dork who wears heels. I sometimes laugh by myself. I sing in the shower. I enjoy alone time. If you know what Science Mystery Theater 3000 is you may be my soulmate. I hate pickles in my burgers. I love to cook and entertain.
